Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your subscription to and use of SisPedia ("the Service"), an email newsletter operated by Sisted ("we", "us", "our"). By subscribing to or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not subscribe.

1. THE SERVICE

SisPedia is a paid email newsletter. Each email contains a short, original summary of a Wikipedia article, written in the voice of a fictional "little sister" character. The character is fictional and provided for entertainment. We currently send newsletters approximately twice per day, each featuring one numbered article (No.1, No.2, …). Delivery frequency, schedule, numbering, and content may change over time.

2. SUBSCRIPTION & BILLING

The English edition is offered for US$0.99 per month.
Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your card number or payment details. See our Privacy Policy.
Your subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel. By subscribing, you authorize us, through Stripe, to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.
Prices may change. We will notify subscribers by email before any price change takes effect.

3. SERVICE START DATE

The English edition begins delivering newsletters on July 1, 2026. If you subscribe before that date, your payment and billing period may begin at the time of subscription, while letters begin arriving from July 1, 2026. By subscribing early, you acknowledge that delivery starts on July 1, 2026.

4. CANCELLATION & REFUNDS

You may cancel at any time using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email, or by contacting father@sisted.net.
When you cancel, your subscription remains active until the end of your current billing period. You will continue to receive letters until then.
Payments are non-refundable, except where required by law. We do not provide partial refunds for unused time.

5. CONTENT & INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Newsletter summaries are based on articles from Wikipedia, licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 (CC BY-SA 4.0). Each newsletter includes attribution and a link to the source. Our summaries are derivative works and are likewise made available under CC BY-SA 4.0.
The "little sister" character, the name "SisPedia", logos, images, and other original creative elements are owned by us and may not be reproduced without permission, except as permitted by the CC BY-SA license covering the textual summaries.

6. ACCURACY DISCLAIMER

Newsletter content is produced with the assistance of AI and is intended for entertainment and general educational purposes only. It may contain errors, omissions, or simplifications and should not be relied upon as authoritative, professional, or factual advice. Please consult original sources for accuracy.

7. ACCEPTABLE USE

You agree not to misuse the Service, including but not limited to reselling or redistributing the emails as your own, attempting to disrupt the delivery infrastructure, or using the Service for any unlawful purpose.

8. ELIGIBILITY

You must be old enough to enter into a binding contract and to make payments in your jurisdiction. The Service is not directed to children.

9. CHANGES TO THE SERVICE & TERMS

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms; for significant changes we will notify subscribers by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free delivery.

11. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

12. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
